MICHELLE CARRINGTON
Chiropractor
BSc MSc(clinical chiro) DC FRCC
GCC Registration No: 00883
Michelle graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1995 with a BSc (chiropractic). She completed a post graduate MSc (clinical chiropractic) in 2001. In 2011 Michelle qualified as a Cranio-Sacral Therapist, adding another dimension to her clinical skills. She is a Member of the British Chiropractic Association, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors.
With her patients, Michelle’s approach is very much to tailor her treatment to their requirements and preferences. She uses a range of manipulation and mobilisation techniques, soft tissue work, dry needling (Western acupuncture), cranial work and lifestyle advice. Michelle is committed to not only helping to relieve pain, but also supporting her patients to look after their own wellbeing.
Having two children, who are now young adults, has enabled Michelle to observe at first hand the musculoskeletal challenges that children (and parents) face at different stages. She has attended many post-graduate courses on Chiropractic Paediatric care. Michelle feels that her chiropractic background and cranio-sacral therapy skills blend well to enable her to assess and provide care for babies and children of all ages, including provision of cranial support for teenagers undergoing orthodontic work.
Horse riding has been an important part of Michelle’s life, which has led to an interest in providing chiropractic care to riders with a view to improving biomechanics to optimise the performance of both horse and rider. To keep herself fit, Michelle enjoys walking, running and yoga.
Michelle is the founder and owner of Haslemere Chiropractic Clinic. In addition to providing chiropractic and craniosacral services, she is also the Clinic Director.
