BSc MSc(chiro) DC
GCC Registration No: 02336
Fiona graduated from the University of Surrey in 2004 with an MSc in Chiropractic, having previously gained a BSc in Physiology from Cardiff University.
She has been working at the Haslemere Chiropractic Clinic since 2006 as a self-employed chiropractor and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.
In addition to more traditional clinical skills, Fiona uses a diagnostic technique called Afferentology to continually assess her patients’ progress and determine the most problematic areas (not always where you might think!). Afferentology is a combination of muscle testing and joint range of motion testing, developed from and similar to Applied Kinesiology.
Chiropractic “adjustments” are used to correct problem areas and involve manipulation and mobilisation of the joints. Fiona also uses soft tissue work, dry needling (Western acupuncture) as well as nutritional and lifestyle advice, ensuring that her treatments are holistic and tailored to the individual. Fiona feels it is important for patients to understand why they have pain and how to avoid future recurrences, so they are able to live as full and active a life as possible.
Fiona has two sons, born in 2013 and 2015, and a border collie who she gets up at 6.30 every morning to walk! She is also a keen gardener, baker and loves travelling, camping and dancing.
