It is great to hear that people appreciate our COVID-19 precautions, and feel safe when they come for treatment. We have had some lovely feedback from patients who have visited the Clinic since we re-opened after the first Lockdown. We are delighted to say that as a healthcare provider, we are allowed to remain open throughout any further periods of restriction, and travelling for a medical appointment is a permitted reason for travel during the current Lockdown.
There is constant work going on behind the scenes, updating Risk Assessments, procuring PPE, developing protocols, and adapting the premises to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19. These strict protocols enable us to comply with Infection Control advice from National Institute for Public Health(was Public Health England), and guidance from our regulatory body, the General Chiropractic Council.

Despite these COVID-19 precautions, there remains an inherent risk of transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Whilst working hard to manage and minimise risks, Haslemere Chiropractic Clinic cannot guarantee that there is no risk as a result of attending the Clinic. Patients will be attending at their own risk.
It is essential that we prevent anyone with these risk factors from entering the Clinic.
If you need to cancel your appointment on the day because you are concerned that you may have been exposed to COVID-19, we will waive the usual cancellation fee. Please let us know as soon as you are aware of the situation.
All visitors to the Clinic, including team members and patients, will have a temperature check on arrival. Anyone with a temperature of 37.8 degrees or higher will not be allowed access to the building.
The Clinic is open on Monday to Fridays, 9.00am – 7.00pm, and Saturday mornings.
To book an Initial Consultation, please call Reception on 01428 642778. You will need this type appointment if you are new to the Clinic, or haven’t attended for more than 9 years.
For all types of follow-up treatment, including Extended Treatments (for multiple complaints or reassessment if you have a new problem or haven’t been for a while), Craniosacral Therapy and Rehabilitation, you can call Reception or book online. You can also email email@example.com if you prefer.
Treatment can now be offered to anyone, including those wanting routine and maintenance appointments.
You are in the “at risk” group, as defined by Public Health England, if you are:
– Over 70
– Have a long term health condition, particularly involving the heart or respiratory system
– Have a weakened immune system.
If you fall into a higher risk or vulnerable group, or have close contact with someone who falls into these categories, you may be carefully considering whether you want to attend for treatment. However, if you feel that your symptoms are sufficient to seek treatment, we are willing to offer you an appointment and will do everything that we can to keep you safe.
Please let the Receptionist know that you fall into a vulnerable category when you book your appointment so that we can consider your requirements. The Receptionist will be happy to talk you through our COVID-19 precautions, and can arrange a call from the Chiropractor if this is helpful.
As an alternative to face-to-face appointments, the chiropractors are happy to offer telephone or video consultations if you are concerned that attending the Clinic poses an unacceptable risk. As you can imagine, the patient experience is a bit different to usual due to the COVID-19 precautions that we have in place.
You will see a list of COVID-19 screening questions (as above) on your appointment confirmation email, and on the Clinic front door. Do not come to the Clinic if you answer “Yes” to any of those questions.
Please come to the Clinic in clean clothes and only bring essential personal possessions.
Come alone. If you need to be accompanied for a medical reason, let us know in advance.
It is important that you arrive a few minutes before your appointment time (but no more than 5 mins before), to allow time to be health checked, sanitise your hands and make payment before you go through for your treatment.
Please ring the door bell and wait outside where indicated. The door will be on a security latch, so do not try to enter. The Receptionist will perform a temperature check and will be asked health screening questions before you are invited inside. If you have your own face covering, please come to the door with it in place.
Immediately upon entry to the building, you will be asked to sanitise your hands.
The Receptionist will take payment, and book your next appointment if you know when you want to come, before showing you through to an empty treatment room to wait for the Chiropractor.
Keeping safe during your treatment:
Wherever possible, the Clinic layout has been organised to allow social distancing at 2m. You will notice that the Treatment Rooms have been arranged to enable the chair that you sit in to be 2m from the Chiropractor when you are talking. We are fortunate to have plenty of windows in the Clinic, and will be making full use of these to achieve optimum ventilation throughout the building.
When the chiropractor is closer than 2m, they will wear a surgical mask, face protection, clean apron and gloves. They will also be wearing clothing that is only worn at work.
Patients will be asked to wear a face covering. You can bring your own face mask, purchase a fabric mask from us (£4.50), or use a free single use mask provided by us.
Every contact surface in the treatment room is sanitised with anti-viral cleaning agents between each patient. Our Reception Team have become cleaning superheroes!
There is a “One-Way System” in place. We are managing the flow of patients through the Clinic to prevent contact with anyone else when you attend. The chiropractor will book your next appointment if required, and show you out of an alternative exit. Please leave promptly so that the Receptionist has time for their sanitising routine between patients.
The Chiropractors continue to offer video consultations. These are for existing and new patients who are unable to attend Clinic, or prefer not to. Call Reception to make a booking.
